 About Us - VisionOur vision is to help bring about a values-led culture at all levels of society. We aim to do this by creating space for individuals, organisations and businesses to think about and refine their values, and to enable these to be reflected in everyday living and working. Furthermore, we provide a mechanism for communicating and celebrating practical ethics at both the indivdual and corporate level. Individuals As individuals we struggle with the concept of ethics. In a world where anything goes, what does acting with integrity look like, how do we resolve the many ethical compromises that we face each day, and how do we let values direct how we live? The Foundation provides the space to ask these fundamental questions, with the lofty objective of moving the society in which we live to a higher plane, where values inform everything we do. Organisations and Businesses Corporate bodies face similar challenges and our aim is to help organisations achieve something of lasting value. Businesses and organisations that really engage people will have a clear sense of purpose, which is understood and shared by their employees, customers and other stakeholders. This purpose will be expressed in the organisation’s vision, and unlike mission statements on the wall, will be at the very heart of the organisation. So how do we find ‘vision’? For many businesses it translates to operating in an ‘ethical manner’ whilst retaining the primary objective of making money for shareholders and the company. Yet, to really achieve something of lasting value, we need to be inspired by a vision which transcends financial profitability. This is our vision too – to encourage the development of values-led businesses and organisations and for those values to be embedded in society and business culture. |
